It opens when I wave my hand over the top, even when my hands are full of potato peel. The steel finish does not show fingerprints much. Using 4 AA batteries.

Replaced our old pedal bin with this. The sensor reacts quickly and the lid closes smoothly without banging. The inner bucket comes out with a handle, so changing the bag is clean. After three weeks the batteries are still fine.

Good bin, the sensor sometimes opens when I walk past close by, so I moved it a bit away from the corridor. Easy fix. Looks smart in the kitchen.

does what it says. the lid stays open if you hold your hand there for filling the big bags
Size is right for a family of four, we empty it every two days. Batteries are not included so remember to buy AA.
